What Happens Next?

Don’t worry, our team is here to guide you through every step!

After scheduling your initial visit, you will receive an email reminder for the date and time of your service. You will also receive an intake form to complete before your visit. If you are planning to use insurance, you will be able to add your policy to your intake form. Once this is complete, our billing department will verify your insurance coverage and send you an email with a detailed document outlining your coverage and benefits. Please allow one full business day for this verification to be complete.

We are located at 20915 Ashburn Road, Ste 235, Ashburn, VA 20147. Our office is in the same shopping center as the Wine’ing Butcher. When you arrive, enter through the double doors under the “Empowered Learning” sign. You can take the stairs or elevator to the second floor and we are down the hall in Suite 235.

Most insurance companies do not require a referral from your Primary Care Physician prior to seeing a Chiropractor, but there are a few plans that do require a referral. It is best to refer to your insurance website or call them directly to be sure.

We do our best to check your benefits before your initial visit, however, it can take a full business day from the time of getting your insurance information to provide you with your coverage. While we do provide this service and work to the best of our abilities to have it be as accurate as possible, we can never guarantee coverage until the claim of your visit is actually processed by your insurance.

The initial visit will include a comprehensive patient intake relating to your chief complaint. A thorough medical history and any other pertinent information will be obtained. A focused evaluation will be performed to determine the cause of the complaint. The provider will then explain all treatment options and care will be provided unless recommended otherwise.

Chiropractic care can be beneficial for everyone from infancy to adults. The treatment looks very different for infants, young children, and adults. For our younger patients, light touch and vibration are performed to the joints along with light soft tissue massage. For our adolescent and adult patients, enough pressure is used with our adjustments and manual work to accommodate the needs of the patient. Chiropractic care is great for easing discomfort related to growth and development, sports-related injuries, neck and back pain, postural complaints, headaches, and more.

Acupuncture can address a wide range of conditions, including pain management, stress, anxiety, depression, fertility issues, and digestive disorders. It’s also used for general wellness and preventative care. In addition, our Acupuncturist has a strong passion for working with those who are currently pregnant or postpartum.

Acupuncture is typically painless. Most people experience a slight tingling or minimal discomfort when the needles are inserted, but it’s generally well-tolerated and considered relatively pain-free.

Sessions typically begin with a consultation where you discuss your health concerns. Then, you’ll lie down comfortably, and the acupuncturist will insert the needles. You’ll relax for about 20-30 minutes while the needles work. Appointments can also include cupping, e-stim, or gua sha depending on the needs of the client.

Many insurance policies cover Acupuncture services!! Our Acupuncturist is in-network with Anthem, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carefirst, Aetna, and United Health Care plans. Our billing department would be happy to check these benefits for you to see if you have coverage.

Self-pay prices depend on services being rendered at your visit. Depending on what your needs and goals are treatment prices will vary. We will gladly provide you with an itemized form or Superbill at the time of your visit to submit to your own insurance if we are not in network. Acupuncture and Massage services do offer packages at a discounted rate. You can learn more about these at your first visit.

Dry Needling is typically $35/session and is an additional charge for most patients who are using their insurance. Some insurance companies are beginning to recognize this service and provide coverage. If you are a self-pay patient, dry needling is included in your visit rate and is not an additional charge.

This will be determined by your provider, however, we understand that each and every patient is different and has different needs. We will provide a recommendation and you and your provider can discuss what plan feels best for you.
